Job summary

Lighting Maintenance, Inc. (LMI) is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead our electrical and sports lighting construction division. Based in Harmans, MD, you will oversee projects from award through closeout, manage remote crews, and ensure schedules, staffing, documentation, and profitability.

You will own contract administration, review bids, and coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, and subs. A strong background in NEC/OSHA and field leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction management experience; electrical contracting strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple projects and crews concurrently, including remote or traveling crews.
• Deep working knowledge of construction contracts (AIA, ConsensusDocs, public works, DOT and state highway forms).
• Estimating experience: able to take off, price, and review electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent electrical and sports lighting construction projects from award through final closeout and warranty.
• Own contract administration: submittals, RFIs, change orders, delay notices, notices of claim, time extension requests, and all required written notices under the contract.
• Build, maintain, and enforce project schedules; identify delays early and document them to protect LMI's position.
• Manage project budgets, cost-to-complete forecasts, WIP reporting, billing schedules, and monthly pay applications.
• Review estimates and bids; participate in bid/no-bid decisions and negotiate change order pricing.
