Job summary

Qnity is seeking a Lead Electrical and Electrical Safety Engineer to join our Leveraged Engineering team. You will support global plant sites with electrical design, safety programs, startup, and maintenance of electrical systems across multiple voltage classes from 480V to 35 kV.

You will leverage NEC, NFPA, UL, and NETA standards, perform arc-flash and short-circuit studies, and mentor E&I personnel during plant startups. A BS/MS in EE and 15+ years in process industries are required.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering required.
15+ years in Chemical Process or related industries with electrical equipment and safety program knowledge.
Ability to read drawings and interpret electrical systems.
Strong communication skills with management, vendors, and teams.

Responsibilities

Provide consulting for electrical safety programs and design.
Support startup and maintenance of electrical systems across plant sites.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver timely solutions.
Direct E&I personnel during startup of manufacturing facilities; supervise field activities.
