Job summary

IntelliPro Group in Claremont, NC seeks a Principal Engineer - Electrical/RF to lead high-speed PCB design for copper Ethernet connectors and related products. You will shape electrical architectures, mentor engineers, and drive SI/PI performance while collaborating with manufacturing and quality teams.

Responsibilities include setting up HFSS simulations, validating designs through tests, and guiding I/O layouts from concept to production.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 12–15 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years.
Experience in signal transmission design from concept to production release.
Proficiency in ANSYS HFSS and related analytical tools.
Proficiency with DFMEA tools to mitigate design risks.
Experienced with PCB layouts for optimum SI, PI and EMC/EMI shielding using ECAD tools.
Self-starter who can manage multiple projects and collaborate in a global team.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Conceive and develop electrical PCB designs for copper Ethernet connectors with RF SI focus.
Define electrical architecture and design methodologies for next-gen connectors.
Lead electrical design activities and mentor engineers.
Set up simulations in ANSYS HFSS and analyze results.
Collaborate with product, mechanical, manufacturing and quality teams.
Drive design-for-manufacturing strategies and vendor engagement.
Participate in reviews to mitigate risk and drive continuous improvement.
