Job summary

AM Technical Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) for a complex, semiconductor manufacturing project in the Phoenix area.

The role focuses on ensuring electrical installations meet quality, safety and code requirements throughout construction. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of electrical construction experience in industrial or mission-critical environments, with strong NEC knowledge and proven testing/inspection skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of electrical construction experience in industrial or mission-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical installation methods and quality inspection processes.
• Ability to interpret drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications and submittals.
• Working knowledge of NEC and industry best practices.
• Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, and system turnover.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of electrical installations to verify compliance with drawings, specs, submittals and codes.
• Inspect conduit, cable tray, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS, generators, grounding and low-voltage installs.
• Verify electrical work through all construction phases prior to turnover.
• Witness and document insulation resistance, continuity, torque, grounding and functional testing.
• Review ITPs, quality checklists, test reports, commissioning docs, and turnover packages.
• Identify, document and track deficiencies, punch lists and NCRs to resolution.
• Verify installed materials conform to submittals and specs.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineering, commissioning and owner reps to resolve quality concerns.
• Participate in system walkdowns, pre-functional inspections, commissioning activities and turnover.
• Maintain inspection reports, daily docs and quality records.
• Promote safety, quality and continuous improvement across the project.
