Job summary

Atlantic City Electric, part of the Exelon family, seeks a General Engineer to lead and support engineering efforts across BGE/Exelon’s utility infrastructure for electric Protection & Control Engineering. The role requires broad utility operations knowledge, developing engineering solutions, delivering technical outputs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or licensed Professional Engineer.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Knowledge of complex field test equipment.
• 4-7 years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience with regulations, standards, codes and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments of moderate complexity under guidance (collect and analyze data, interpret results, present recommendations).
• Leads small engineering projects or tasks coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet technical requirements.
• Provides technical support and consultation to engineering and operating groups for design, installation, and maintenance.
• Participates in evaluation and improvement of technical systems and processes, contributing to project planning and implementation.
