Job summary

Helix Electric is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Reno, NV to lead project teams and ensure successful delivery of electrical construction projects. You will manage scope, schedule, budget and customer expectations, while mentoring engineers and coordinating with subcontractors.

The role demands 7–10 years of PM experience in electrical construction, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of scheduling, bids, and contracts. A design-build background is a plus and safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of project management experience in electrical construction.
• Understanding of electrical engineering concepts.
• Field experience coordinating with construction management.
• Extensive knowledge of scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts.
• Ability to develop relationships and help win projects.
• Track record of running a profitable portfolio.
• Strong initiative, execution and communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong analytical, motivational and leadership abilities.
• Design-build experience is a plus; Journeyman/Master Electrician license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead project teams for each project, delivering quality output on time and within budget.
• Drive profitability through effective project execution.
• Oversee scheduling, contractual requirements, personnel assignments and capacity planning.
• Review processes to meet customer requirements and profitability goals.
• Mentor and develop team members; manage subcontractors.
• Communicate challenges, risks and successes proactively.
• Oversee invoicing per project terms and negotiate change orders.
