Job summary

Helix Electric in Reno, NV is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead project teams and direct complex electrical construction projects. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations while driving profitability across the portfolio.

Responsibilities include coordinating with field operations, reviewing contracts, and mentoring engineers. A strong background in electrical systems, design-build experience, and safety leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of project management experience on electrical construction projects.
• Understand electrical engineering principles.
• Field experience coordinating with construction management.
• Extensive knowledge of scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts.
• Proven ability to win projects and build relationships.
• Proven ability to run a profitable portfolio.
• Strong initiative, execution, and communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong analytical, motivational, and leadership skills.
• Electrical Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus.
• Strong safety knowledge on construction projects.
• Design-build experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to plan, manage, and direct all projects.
• Drive profitability through effective project execution.
• Set goals, assign personnel, manage schedules and capacity.
• Review contractual requirements and process design methods.
• Ensure project schedules are met and adjust priorities.
• Communicate risks and successes with stakeholders.
• Oversee subcontractors and change orders.
• Support safety culture on projects.
• Mentor engineers on design-build projects.
