Job summary

McGraw Kokosing is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer/Manager to lead electrical systems implementation on large industrial projects. You will guide pre-construction through final acceptance, manage budget, schedule, and vendor submittals, and ensure safety compliance.

This onsite role requires strong leadership and collaborative teamwork. Candidates should have 6+ years in construction project leadership, a degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, and Michigan licensing

Qualifications

• 6+ years of project engineering/management experience in construction.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Previous work with IBEW a plus.
• Must hold a current Michigan Electrical Contractor's License and be eligible to work in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements.
• Develop a timely project cost estimate or bid using self-perform labor.
• Prepare contract documents to obtain quotes from vendors for materials and equipment.
• Interface with departments and staff on budgeting, staffing, and scheduling issues.
• Review engineering plans and vendor submittals.
• Convert successful estimates into projects.
• Monitor assignments to ensure services are performed as specified.
• Conduct field visits and spot checks of work performed.
• Ensure compliance with county, state and OSHA policies and regulations.
• Participate in staffing plans, cost code creation, and business planning.
