Job summary

Canyon State Electric is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Arizona to lead complex electrical construction projects from initiation to completion. The role involves planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget, with close collaboration across clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of PM experience in electrical contracting, strong leadership and communication skills, and familiarity with industry codes and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 7 years of project management experience in electrical contracting or construction
• Strong leadership and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore) and methodologies
• Thorough understanding of industry codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
• PMP certification or similar credentials is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle and align with scope and timeline
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including scope, budget, schedules, resources, and risk management
• Allocate and manage internal and external resources to maximize productivity
• Monitor budgets and expenses, control costs, and manage change orders
• Identify and assess project risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Maintain proactive client relationships, provide updates, and manage expectations
