Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial electrical projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
• Maintain strong working relationships with general contractors, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and NEC compliance.
• Review plans, specifications, and contracts while proactively resolving conflicts.
• Develop detailed project schedules and budgets to manage profitability.
• Manage procurement, contracts, change-orders, and project documentation.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure quality, safety, and progress.

Job description

We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Electrical Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering commercial electrical projects and building strong relationships with general contractors. The ideal candidate has experience managing tenant improvements, medical facilities, multifamily developments, or similar commercial work, and is comfortable taking ownership of projects ranging from $25K to $1.5M+ in electrical scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial electrical projects from preconstruction through final closeout
• Maintain strong working relationships with general contractors, clients, and project stakeholders
• Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify system design accuracy and compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Review plans, specifications, and contracts while proactively resolving conflicts
• Develop detailed project schedules using MS Project or similar tools, manage budgets, and profitability
• Manage procurement processes including construction estimating, contracts, change-orders to optimize project resources, and maintain clear project documentation
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure quality, safety, and tracking progress

Leadership & Team Support

• Support and mentor field crews while helping remove project obstacles
• Promote a culture of professionalism, quality workmanship, and accountability
• Assist in strengthening project management systems as the company grows

Qualifications

• Self-motivated leader who takes ownership of projects and drives results
• Proven track record managing large-scale electrical projects with a focus on project management principles.

Experience

• 10+ years in electrical construction
• Progression from field experience to project management strongly preferred
• Experience managing commercial electrical projects such as tenant improvements, medical facilities, or multifamily developments
• Experience with California prevailing wage or public works projects is a plus but not required.

Technical Skills

• Extensive electrical experience with a strong background in system design, schematics reading, and electrical code compliance (NEC).
• Hands-on construction site experience coupled with a solid understanding of blueprint reading and electrical system installation.
• Proficiency with project management platforms such as Procore, Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar
• Strong organizational and communication skills
