Job summary

A-C Electric Company in Fresno, CA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead electrical construction projects from kickoff to closeout. You’ll manage schedules, budgets, forecasting, and procurement while building strong client and team relationships.

You will develop detailed project plans, coordinate manpower and materials, and drive Lean Construction initiatives to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Five or more years of project management experience, preferably within the electrical construction industry.
• Experience managing projects, including budgets, schedules, contracts, forecasting, procurement, and change orders.
• The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while building strong relationships with clients, vendors, field teams, and leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships, support business development, and manage a profitable project portfolio.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading projects from kickoff through closeout.
• Building and maintaining strong client and team relationships.
• Developing and executing project plans by reviewing drawings, specifications, and contracts; coordinating manpower, equipment, materials, procurement, subcontractors, and project documentation; and managing contract administration and change orders.
• Driving operational excellence by Lean Construction principles and improving safety, quality, productivity and project efficiency.
• Ensuring successful project delivery with compliance to standards and safety while supporting other objectives.
• Championing adherence to company standards of quality, safety and best practices across project teams.
• Managing and presenting the monthly project review process with emphasis on financial forecasting and profitability.
• Reviewing financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interests.
