Job description

Senior Electrical Project Manager

MetroPower is hiring an Electrical Project Manager in Athens, AL

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the safe and profitable execution of electrical projects under his/her management. This role acts as the primary resource managing safety, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, profits, and sales growth for multiple projects involving one or more customers. Safety, Quality, and Productivity must always be the primary focus. The role also involves prospecting for new customers through existing project execution and conducting business in accordance with PPC Partners and MetroPower, Inc. mission and vision statements. Qualified candidates MUST have electrical experience.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Manage billing and collections; track accounts receivable and manage working capital.
  2. Forecast weekly goals based on human and material resources and equipment.
  3. Analyze and forecast factors that affect results to maximize efficiency within electrical projects.
  4. Provide personnel development plans, monitoring, coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities to direct reports.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with customers; ensure high-quality service to guarantee repeat sales and favorable recommendations.

Requirements:
  1. Four-year construction or engineering-related degree preferred.
  2. At least 8 years of experience in a Senior Project Manager/Project Manager role overseeing teams within electrical construction.
  3. Extensive (10+ years) experience/knowledge of electrical construction design, finance, and management.
  4. Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable.
  5. Highly customer-service oriented & team player; ability to create new and maintain current customers.
  6. Valid driver’s license and insured personal transportation is required.
  7. Excellent MS Office skills and ability/drive to learn new software systems (Procore, MS Project, other).
  8. OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within three months from date of hire).
  9. Ability to apply innovative and effective leadership techniques to maximize employee performance.
  10. Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code and NFPA 70E.
  11. Ability to manage risk & profitability successfully.
  12. Contacts in the local construction industry preferred.
