Job summary

BL Harbert International, a leading U.S. contractor, seeks an Electrical Engineering professional to review designs, ensure compliance, and coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, subcontractors, and clients across projects.

The role focuses on submittal reviews, equipment procurement guidance, and coordination with stakeholders to keep schedules on track. PE preferred but not required; roles involve field coordination on federal and defense-related projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction, MEP coordination, or electrical engineering.
• Strong understanding of power distribution, switchgear, generators, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
• Experience reviewing electrical equipment submittals and construction documents.
• PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical designs, specifications, and construction documents for accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, subcontractors, and client-side experts throughout project execution.
• Review and evaluate electrical equipment submittal packages for compliance with project requirements and intent.
• Provide technical recommendations and approvals for equipment procurement and release.
• Lead coordination and tracking of long-lead mechanical equipment procurement to support project schedule.
