Job summary

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited US curriculum.
• Current and active California PE license.
• Minimum eight years of cumulative experience in engineering, design, and construction; at least five in generation or heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Leads and applies extensive knowledge in design and project management for complex, large-scale projects.
• Develops and/or evolves standards and specifications.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and technical direction to engineers and project teams; mentors others.
• Performs extensive complex risk analyses and studies of generation assets, including modeling of systems.
• Leads development and presentation of findings to internal/external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Interprets and educates others on industry standards and regulations.
• Manages relationships with external stakeholders; develops regulatory and safety strategies; negotiates with regulators and third parties.
• Supports start-up testing, inspections, and condition assessments for large projects.
• Conducts meetings and prepares technical/regulatory documents.
• Represents the company to government bodies and coordinates with regulatory agencies.
