Job summary

PG&E's Power Generation division seeks a Journey level Project Engineer to provide program management, asset management, powerhouse risk analysis, and technical support to O&M staff for a wide range of moderately complex issues and capital improvements.

The position is hybrid, with approximately 30% travel and a salary range tied to California pay scales; successful candidates typically hold a BS in Engineering and three years of project engineering experience, with a California PE license

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering from an accredited program; PE license or eligibility.
  • Minimum three years in project engineering, design, and construction.
  • Ability to obtain California PE license within 18 months.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple moderately complex asset programs for powerhouse equipment.
  • Develop strategic plans for asset management within the Powerhouse Asset Family.
  • Support maintenance strategies, risk analysis, and portfolio risk view for long-term planning.
  • Provide technical guidance and quality control for engineering teams.
  • Interact with regulators, contractors, vendors, and senior leadership.
