Job summary

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (PE) in Phoenix to perform calculations and design electrical systems in line with policies and codes. You will work with project teams, mentor designers, and ensure timely delivery within budget.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 8+ years of experience, and PE licensure. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for coordinating with Project Engineers and Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree required.
• Minimum 8 years of work experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and layout/design of electrical systems per policies, standards and codes.
• Apply practical knowledge to resolve project conflicts and problems.
• Exercise independent decision-making for engineering tasks on projects.
• Mentor and supervise designers and junior engineers as needed.
• Review discipline-specific codes and other building codes for compliance.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients and team members.
• Meet with Project Engineer/PM to discuss scope, schedule, budget and design reviews.
• Estimate man-hours and help prepare design budgets and schedules.
