Job summary

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, Engineers & Planners, Inc. in Orlando, FL, seeks a licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) with strong design and project leadership to perform calculations, layout and system design per codes and standards.

The candidate will mentor designers, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate with project engineers, and deliver quality construction documents while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Minimum 8 years of work experience in electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and system layout per established policies and codes.
• Resolve project-related problems using practical field knowledge.
• Possess ability for independent decision-making on engineering tasks.
• Mentor and supervise other engineers and designers as needed.
• Review designs for function, clearance, coordination, and final selection.
• Coordinate with Project Engineer and Project Manager on scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Provide leadership and assign design tasks to designers to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Prepare construction documents matching client and project requirements.
