Job summary

Epstein is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our MEP engineering team in Chicago on a hybrid schedule. The role focuses on planning, control, and integration of engineering activities, designing power, lighting, and fire alarm systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities within a coordinated AE/AEC firm.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with disciplines, interact with clients, and ensure design compliance with Epstein standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of project experience in A/E, A/E/C, or consulting engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• Understanding of other building systems and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Knowledge of NEC and building codes.
• Experience working with teams, clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Proficiency with Revit and working knowledge of LightStanza.

Responsibilities

• Understand project objectives, scope, deliverables, and budget implications.
• Establish design criteria for projects.
• Lead design and detailing of electrical systems.
• Develop construction/installation documents and deliverables.
• Perform analyses and delegate tasks to team members.
