Job summary

Weston Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Lincolnshire, IL to lead design and execution of complex environmental and infrastructure projects. You will coordinate design development, budgeting, and scheduling with internal teams and clients, ensuring quality and safety across the project lifecycle.

The role requires a P.E. license, extensive electrical engineering experience, and ability to manage RFP responses, subcontractors, and field investigations.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer with active NCEES account and ability to obtain registration in additional states.
• Experience with EVSE, microgrids, solar energy facilities, backup generators or data centers is a plus.
• DoD security clearance required or ability to obtain one.
• Proficient in CAD programs including AutoDesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD; 3D modeling is a plus.
• Knowledge of Bentley MicroStation and ESRI Arc Map is a plus.
• Experience with project management, budgeting, and scheduling processes.
• Ability to prepare technical proposals and respond to RFPs with competitive pricing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project execution and maintain scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality from design through construction and warranty.
• Lead design teams and supervise engineers, technicians, and staff.
• Develop and check calculations, drawings, specifications, and Basis of Design.
• Select equipment and materials and check shop drawings.
• Advise clients on methods, equipment, and project approaches.
• Monitor contractor performance and report progress to clients.
