Job summary
McKinstry in Portland is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Electrical Construction division. You will support the RFP and procurement process, track current and future jobs, review contracts and drawings, and assist in developing the scope of work with subcontractors and in monthly financial reporting.
You will interact with general contractors, architects, engineers and owners, and work closely with the project management team to solve problems and drive on‑time delivery.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of construction concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, estimates.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite; working knowledge of Salesforce, ViewPoint and Accubid.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate RFPs and procurement; track current and future jobs.
- Review contracts, drawings, and specifications; assist scheduling.
- Develop scope of work with subcontractors and support monthly financial reporting.
- Communicate with general contractors, architects, engineers and owners; support project management.
