Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to own the design of electrical distribution systems for mission-critical data centers.

You will take designs from concept through permit and construction documents, define equipment specifications, review submittals, and support field engineers in commissioning and turnover. You will collaborate with utilities, vendors, and internal teams, travel up to 20%, and continually improve uptime, safety, and cost efficiency while

Qualifications

• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers
• Knowledge of critical data center/mission critical mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience in data center/design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance

Responsibilities

• Data center electrical designs and collaboration with other disciplines to create a construction document set
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during construction phases
• Travel to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, as well as provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup as needed
