Qualifications

• 10+ years of purchasing experience in electrical or construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials and procurement practices.
• Experience supporting commercial/industrial/ automotive construction projects preferred.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficient with Excel, Outlook, Teams; experience with ERP/purchasing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing and procurement activities for electrical construction projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and material requests for accurate purchasing.
• Generate and track purchase orders aligned with budgets and schedules.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor quotations for cost and quality.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with suppliers.
• Coordinate with project teams on material requirements and lead times.
• Monitor deliveries and resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Track procurement costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain purchasing records and documentation.
• Support forecasting of material needs across projects.
• Help develop and improve purchasing processes and standards.
