Job summary

Contractor Network in Anchorage, AK is seeking an experienced Electrical Purchasing Agent to own procurement for electrical construction projects, manage vendor relations, and support safe, on-time execution. The role requires 4–10+ years in electrical purchasing or related fields, strong negotiation and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate major equipment.

This is an on-site role with a competitive pay package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Electrical construction purchasing or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, manufacturers, and distribution channels.
• Ability to analyze quotations, specifications, terms, and delivery requirements.
• ERP or purchasing system experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase electrical materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor quotations, lead times, terms, and scope compliance.
• Coordinate switchgear, transformers, generators, lighting, wire, and other major packages.
• Maintain buyout logs, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and procurement reporting.
• Validate budgets, quantities, substitutions, and approved manufacturers with project teams.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, freight, escalation exposure, and delivery commitments.
• Identify supply-chain risks and develop alternate sourcing strategies.
• Maintain supplier relationships and support closeout.
