Job summary

Dynalectric Company San Diego is hiring a Preconstruction Manager. The Preconstruction Manager leads all preconstruction activities for electrical construction projects from initial pursuit through project turnover.

This role is responsible for delivering accurate, competitive, and comprehensive project estimates while ensuring technical alignment, constructability, and strategic positioning for successful execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; BS in engineering or construction field desirable.
• Experience estimating/preconstruction or 5+ years in construction; design/build preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, construction materials, market conditions, and contract docs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities from pursuit to turnover for electrical projects.
• Attend estimating meetings, discuss bids with customers, and present proposals.
• Prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates from drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on costs.
• Review contracts, scopes, and bid documents for project turnover.
• Develop market position and relationships with clients and vendors.
