Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a seasoned Electrical Estimator to lead cost assessment for complex electrical packages on mission critical, hospital, pharma and government projects in Georgia. You will prepare takeoffs, estimates, and life-cycle cost analyses from design through construction while coordinating with vendors, subs, architects, and owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 15+ years in Mechanical/Plumbing/Fire Protection estimating.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs and schedules.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates for electrical systems on complex projects with $25M+ MEP packages.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, analyses, estimates, and studies from design to construction.
• Communicate estimate results to Turner staff, architects, engineers and owners.
• May supervise Assistant MEP Estimators, Estimating Assistants and/or Interns.
• Develop relationships with vendors and subs to price materials and bid scopes.
• Perform constructability analysis and communicate issues to the project team.
• Provide first costs analysis and participate in life cycle analyses with the design team.
• Lead bid reviews and hand-off to operations; manage scope gaps and risk.
• Lead MEP initiatives and value analysis for cost-efficient alternatives.
