Job summary

Sasol USA is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a focus on power systems to deliver technical expertise across operations, projects, and turnarounds at facilities in the Americas. The role requires ownership of power engineering changes and close collaboration with operations and project teams.

The candidate will lead load flow, short circuit, and coordination studies, and will review vendor packages while maintaining compliance with NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, and API standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineering license preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in petrochemical or refining environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead power systems studies, including load flow and short circuit analysis.
• Review electrical data sheets, vendor drawings, and fabrication packages.
• Coordinate arc flash studies and safety recommendations.
• Ensure NFPA 70/70E, IEEE standards compliance.
• Serve as electrical discipline lead during FEED and detailed design.
• Support FEL activities and capital projects.
