Job summary

Aggreko, LLC in New Iberia or Houston seeks a Senior Design Engineer to design power systems, perform calculations, and prepare drawings and PDPs for generation projects. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to multi-site projects with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities include creating layouts, BOMs, and technical documentation, plus providing on-site and remote support using ETAP/PSCAD. Travel to client sites is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited or approved equal).
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Strong technical knowledge in electrical field with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Design safe, reliable, and cost-efficient power systems using codes and standards.
• Support sales by visiting sites, presenting solutions, and developing cost-effective proposals.
• Manage design, calculations, and procurement of power equipment; create layouts, schematics, and BOMs.
• Provide technical support on-site and remotely; analyze data to ensure performance.
• Mentor junior staff and produce/edit drawings (AutoCAD) for electrical systems.
• Perform engineering studies (ETAP, PSCAD) including load flow, fault, coordination, and arc-flash analysis.
