Job summary

Arizona State University (ASU) seeks an experienced Senior Engineer for Facilities Development and Management. The role focuses on 12kV/4,170V distribution systems within a mission-critical environment and involves interfacing with Salt River Project.

You will manage design reviews, budget plans, and reliability improvements at ASU MacroTechnology Works. The ideal candidate is a registered PE in AZ (or can obtain within six months), knowledgeable in IBC and NEC, and proficient with Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years relevant experience including 2 years in a managerial role.
• Master’s degree preferred and/or PE license within 6 months of hire.
• Professional Engineering registration in AZ or ability to obtain is required within 6 months.
• Knowledge of International Building Codes and National Electrical Code with H Occupancy.
• Proficient with Bluebeam for drawing development and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design reviews of electrical distribution systems for projects.
• Sign off on new electrical installations and equipment relocations.
• Advise leadership on electrical system improvements and reliability plans.
• Develop and improve electrical maintenance programs including predictive maintenance.
• Represent ASU in design reviews and recommendations for facility improvements.
