Chevron Corporation is seeking an Engineer, Electrical Power to join the Downstream, Midstream, and Chemical Operations Performance Electrical Power Team. You will provide electrical power designs and support for U.S.

refineries, lead studies, and collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to improve safety, reliability, and profitability. The role focuses on medium voltage distribution, motor controls, switch gear, UPS, and substations up to 138kV, with travel to sites including Salt Lake City

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical power engineering.
• Experience with HV/MV/LV distribution systems including substations, switch gear, motor controls, and UPS systems.
• Strong communication, collaboration and complex problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical power engineering support for facility-wide electrical infrastructure improvement initiatives and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Perform and support technical studies using electrical distribution modelling tools to improve safety, reliability, throughput and economics.
• Develop and manage Engineering Work Orders for electrical projects; specify equipment meeting standards; manage fabrication and FAT requirements.
• Provide urgent field support to troubleshoot mid‑voltage issues; support maintenance, turnarounds, and commissioning.
• Guide technical inquiries, issue recommendations, and standardize engineering tools and processes.
• Mentor electrical engineers and review Engineering Work Orders of varying complexity, while modelling Chevron safety culture.
