Job summary
Acutronic is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer III to lead NPI projects from proposal through qualification testing and production support within the Aerospace Components Division. You will influence power circuit development and drive advanced power systems for actuation, generation, and distribution.
The role requires a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 8+ years in motor controls and power electronics, plus aerospace quality/control experience; MS preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering required; Master's preferred.
- 8+ years in motor controls, electromechanical control systems, power conditioning and distribution (2kW+).
- Experience with aerospace quality control (AS9100) and manufacturing environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop power systems for actuation, turbines, generation, conversion and distribution.
- Develop detailed power system models using MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent.
- Integrate sensors for closed‑loop control and analog front‑end conditioning.
- Assist in firmware/software development to support power systems.
- Hands‑on bring‑up, integration, and troubleshooting of power generation systems.
- Prepare documentation for customer and internal deliverables.
