Job summary

Reliable Robotics Corporation in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Sr Electrical NPI Engineer to design and optimize build and integration processes for electrical and avionics products, including harnessing and HITL test equipment.

You will serve as technical authority for NPI activities, define best-in-class processes, mentor teams, and ensure manufacturability, reliability, quality, and cost targets across prototypes through production.

Qualifications

Six or more years designing for manufacturability in safety-critical avionics/electrical domains.
Experience conducting DFx reviews on PCB/PCBA and electromechanical assemblies.
Proven track record in NPI of PCBs/PCBAs including supply chain and manufacturing involvement.
Proficiency with AS9100 or CFR Part 145 regulatory frameworks is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant engineering field.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of build and integration processes for electrical and avionics products.
Serve as the NPI technical authority and advisor for all activities.
Develop, refine, and enforce world-class NPI frameworks and reviews.
Collaborate with design, quality, and certification teams to embed producibility and risk mitigation.
Establish and maintain qualification criteria, DFMEA/PFMEA, and validation strategies.
Develop supplier relationships and drive corrective actions to meet schedule and quality targets.
Represent production in design reviews and release designs for cost, inspectability, and conformance.
