Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Electrical/Mechanical Technician to support assembly, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex electronic and mechanical systems in an on-site R&D lab. The role emphasizes high-quality fabrication, system integration, and end-to-end hardware activities within commercial and industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Active/Current DoD Secret clearance required
• High school diploma with 10+ years of experience OR Associate’s degree with 8+ years
• Experience in commercial manufacturing or industrial environments
• Strong electrical/mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Experience with diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes)

Responsibilities

• Electrical / Electronics: Assemble, integrate, and test electronic and electro-mechanical systems; soldering and cable/harness fabrication; electrical testing; troubleshoot PCB-level, wiring, and system-level issues; operate soldering stations, reflow ovens, coating equipment; read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Mechanical / Hardware: Fabricate and assemble mechanical components; troubleshoot, repair, and modify assemblies; support installation and maintenance; perform preventive maintenance and inspections; read blueprints and work instructions; operate material handling equipment; collaborate in fast-paced projects.
