Job summary

The State of Florida, Agency for Persons with Disabilities, seeks a Senior Maintenance Mechanic – Electrical to support facilities with electrical and woodworking tasks. You will design and construct cabinetry and furniture, perform repairs, and maintain workshop equipment across APD sites.

Responsibilities include transporting materials, reading blueprints, training peers in woodworking, and meeting physical requirements such as lifting up to 50 pounds and working in tight spaces or on

Qualifications

Experience in maintaining electronic equipment such as motors, panels, pumps and bending pipes.
Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
Willingness to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency.

Responsibilities

Transport needed materials to assigned work areas.
Design and construct cabinets, countertops, furniture and perform carpentry repairs.
Perform framed, roofing, cabinetry, finish, trim, and masonry work as required.
Maintain woodworking equipment and train others in woodworking skills.
Use hand tools and power tools safely to install, maintain, and repair electrical/mechanical systems.
