Job summary

Performance Drone Works (PDW) in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to drive manufacturability, production readiness, and scalable factory design across multiple sUAS platforms. You will partner with Design Engineering, Quality, and Operations to lead DFM/DFMA, NPI industrialization, tooling, and line layout optimization for throughput, cost, and safety.

The role requires 10+ years in electrical manufacturing with NPI, PFMEA, and automation experience, plus EDA/CAD

Qualifications

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline with 10+ years supporting NPI/electrical manufacturing.
Aerospace/defense and high-mix electromechanical assembly experience preferred.
Proven success leading DFM/DFT and PFMEA cross-functional efforts.
Experience designing and scaling automated or semi-automated lines for high-volume production.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Design Engineering to provide DFM/DFT inputs for manufacturability, from concept to release.
Lead optimization of electrical manufacturing, assembly, and test processes for new and existing products.
Develop and improve manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and test procedures.
Troubleshoot issues; perform RCA and implement CAPA to improve safety, quality, and cost.
Support development and sustainment of electrical test systems and fixtures.
