Placements24 is recruiting for a Senior Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead its maintenance team in an industrial setting. You will oversee technicians, plan maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and enforce safety standards to ensure reliable electrical infrastructure.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of electrical maintenance and at least 3 years in supervision, with deep knowledge of HV/LV systems, motor control, PLCs and VFDs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical maintenance experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of high and low voltage systems, motor control, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Experience in industrial environments, preferably energy or manufacturing sectors.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of electrical maintenance technicians, providing guidance and performance management.
• Develop, implement, and manage preventative and corrective maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical faults in motors, switchgear, control panels, and power distribution systems.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and environmental policies.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement for necessary supplies.

This role is critical for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of all electrical systems and equipment within their facilities. You will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians, planning and executing maintenance schedules, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. This hands-on leadership position offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the operational stability of vital infrastructure in the Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities
