Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors in Concord, CA is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Designer to perform complete design of complex assignments using theory and practical design methods. This role requires 8+ years of industrial experience, NEC familiarity, and the ability to size wire, conduit and overcurrent protection for lighting and power applications.

You will produce installation details, MCC single lines, layouts, cable schedules and equipment specifications (480VAC

Qualifications

Association degree in Engineering Technology or CAD drafting is required.
Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical installation methods.
Ability to size wire and conduit for lighting and power applications.
Experience with electrical installation documents and vendor drawings.

Responsibilities

Design complete electrical and instrumentation systems for complex projects.
Produce installation details, single lines, layouts and cable schedules with minimal supervision.
Provide guidance to junior drafters and coordinate with other disciplines.
Assist during startup and review equipment specifications (480VAC and 15kV/5kV).
