Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or related field with two years of related work experience, including one year in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operation of inspections for the electrical section; oversee technical/administrative aspects and support supervisory staff.
• Coordinate and facilitate inspection meetings with contractors, designers, owners, and third parties to ensure clear communication and issue resolution.
• Provide technical training on new construction techniques, materials, statutes, codes, and ordinances.
• Offer technical code expertise and consultation to staff, contractors, engineers, and owners; respond to inquiries about the Virginia USBC provisions.
• Assist the Building Official with administrative tasks such as budget, training; support FOIA/LEx requests; ensure staff certifications are current.
