Job summary

AECOM has a position available for a Senior Electrical and I&C Designer to support multi-disciplinary design tasks in power generation. The role involves leading CAD design, coordinating electrical and I&C deliverables, and leveraging laser scans and LiDAR data to produce accurate models.

The candidate will work within a team, communicate with project members and customers, and may travel for meetings. Remote work is supported with office locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 6 years of relevant power or industrial experience.
• Experience leading CAD design teams on projects of varying size.
• Familiarity with Common Data Environments (ProjectWise, BIM 360, ACC).
• Ability to manage interfaces and coordinate with multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform as the Electrical and I&C CAD lead for projects of all sizes.
• Oversee design and preparation of electrical and I&C deliverables with safety and constructability in mind.
• Coordinate CAD drawings and ensure integrated digital project content.
• Lead discipline CAD designer on projects with budgets and schedules.
• Prepare bills of materials and quantity take offs.
• Utilize data from laser scans, LiDAR, and vendor files for modeling.
