Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Electrical Harness Design Engineer to lead end-to-end harness design for rugged applications. You will design, integrate and verify harness systems, select components, and produce production-ready diagrams and instructions.

Ideal candidates will have 12+ years in harness design, strong supplier liaison skills, and experience with CAN, Ethernet and MIL-STD standards. This on-site role supports fast-paced development and deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 12+ years hands-on experience designing electrical harnessing for rugged commercial, industrial, aerospace or military applications.
• Experience collaborating with harness manufacturers to deliver high quality, high reliability products.
• Own end-to-end electrical wiring and interconnect system design including power distribution, grounding, shielding and signal integrity.
• Ensure designs meet system-level electrical requirements (voltage, current, bandwidth, redundancy, EMI/EMC).
• Perform electrical trade studies for wire gauge, shielding, connector selection and topology.
• Analyze and mitigate electrical risks (voltage drop, crosstalk, EMI susceptibility, thermal effects).
• Familiarity with CAN, Ethernet, RS422, RS232, MIL-STD-1553 interfaces and MIL-STD harness standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise to design, fabricate and integrate harness systems on projects.
• Investigate, plan, design and develop harnesses to meet technical requirements.
• Select and procure connectors, back-shells, wires and shielding to meet environmental specs.
• Develop harness block diagrams and production-ready wire diagrams.
• Participate in design reviews and guide design choices.
• Prepare harness assembly instructions and test procedures per industry standards.
• Guide electrical team on system requirements from stakeholders (engineering, product mgmt, quality).
• Support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
