Job summary

Torch Technologies in Huntsville, AL seeks a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert in Electrical/Hardware Design to lead and contribute to robust hardware solutions for Army customers. You will serve as the technical authority for electrical design from concept through production.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in analog/digital/mixed-signal design, PCB layout, power electronics, EMI/EMC, and Thermal management.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in electrical/hardware design engineering.
• Proficient with Altium Designer or similar EDA tools.
• Strong knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal design.
• Experience with regulatory and safety standards (UL, CE, FCC) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and testing of complex analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
• Architect PCB layouts with focus on signal and power integrity and manufacturability.
• Define and execute test plans; validate hardware against specifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate hardware.
• Mentor junior engineers and document designs, BOMs, and test reports.
• Support production during assembly and debugging.
