Job summary

Torch Technologies, headquartered in Huntsville, AL, seeks an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to join our defense-focused team. You will design, simulate, analyze, and test analog and digital circuits, develop hardware specs and PCB layouts, and support the full lifecycle from concept through production.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering, 5+ years of hardware design experience, and an active security clearance.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical hardware design and development.
• Active security clearance required and must be maintainable.
• Experience in defense/aerospace environments and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, analyze, and test analog and digital circuits including power supplies and sensors.
• Develop hardware specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts.
• Perform component selection and obsolescence risk assessment.
• Conduct hardware bring-up, debugging, and verification with test plans.
• Participate in all phases of product development from concept to production support.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and systems engineers for integration.
• Generate design documents, test reports, and manufacturing instructions.
• Support proposal efforts with technical content and cost estimates.
