Blue Origin in Merritt Island, Florida seeks a Senior Electrical Utility & Infrastructure Engineer to be the primary interface with electrical utility providers across company sites. You will ensure reliable delivery of electrical power for launch facilities, manufacturing, and test sites.

The role emphasizes utility coordination, site capacity planning, and rigorous adherence to applicable codes and standards, with a focus on reliability and redundancy of internal infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years in electrical engineering focusing on utility power systems, distribution, or facilities infrastructure.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience interfacing with electrical utility providers on technical and contractual matters.
• Proficiency with medium/high voltage distribution systems.
• Strong knowledge of power system analysis, load flow and reliability concepts.
• Experience with backup power systems (generators, UPS, ATS).
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, NERC and related standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical liaison between Blue Origin and electrical utility providers across sites and geographies.
• Manage service agreements, tariff structures, interconnection agreements, and utility coordination requests.
• Monitor utility performance and ensure service levels and reliability.
• Lead capacity planning and site development with facilities and operations teams.
• Develop load growth projections and coordinate infrastructure upgrade plans with utilities.
