Job summary

Traffic Management Solutions in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an Electrical Foreman to lead the electrical scope on FDOT lighting, ITS, tolling, and signalization projects. You will supervise a crew, interpret plans, and ensure installations meet project specs and safety requirements.

The role emphasizes planning daily work, coordinating with the Superintendent, and maintaining quality through disciplined execution and compliance with NEC and local codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid electrician license or certification as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in electrical construction/maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electricians and helpers on construction sites.
• Interpret and implement FDOT plan sets, specifications, schematics and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, safety standards, FDOT specs and company policies.
• Plan and schedule daily work, allocate resources and monitor progress.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and training.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents and other trades.
• Maintain records of work, materials and labor hours.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues on site.
