Job summary

Traffic Management Solutions is seeking an Electrical Foreman in Fort Lauderdale, FL to lead electrical crews on FDOT lighting, ITS, tolling, and signalization projects. The role focuses on plan interpretation, scheduling, safety compliance, and ensuring quality installations in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and valid electrician license plus 5 years in electrical construction with 2+ years in supervisory roles.

Qualifications

• Must have NEC knowledge and the ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Strong leadership and communication skills essential for managing teams and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance across all work activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians and electrical helpers on construction sites.
• Interpret and implement FDOT plan sets, specifications, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation and maintenance work.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes, safety standards, FDOT Standards, FDOT Specifications, and company policies.
• Plan and schedule daily work assignments, allocate resources effectively, and monitor project progress to meet deadlines.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce safety protocols, and provide training to promote a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to resolve issues and optimize workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and labor hours for reporting and billing purposes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems encountered during installation or maintenance activities.
