Job summary

Helix Electric Inc. is seeking a General Superintendent- Electrical to oversee field operations across a portfolio of projects.

The role reports to the VP of Field Operations and requires leading multiple levels of field leadership while driving staffing, safety, and quality standards on complex commercial/industrial projects. Ideal candidates have 15+ years in the electrical trade, a strong NEC background, and a valid master or journeyman license with OSHA 30.

Qualifications

15+ years in the electrical trade with progressive field leadership experience.
Proven success delivering large commercial/industrial projects on schedule and budget while leading multiple field teams.
Strong working knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70); electrical systems and industry practices; familiarity with NFPA 70E safe work practices.
Proficient reading/interpreting plans, one-lines, shop drawings, submittals, and BIM/VDC coordination outputs.
Preconstruction support experience (constructability reviews, work plans, logistics, job start-up).
Demonstrated change management skill (scope identification, field documentation supporting change orders).
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Active state journeyman or master electrician license; OSHA 30 and current First Aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

Manage and develop field leadership teams across projects.
Forecast and level craft resources; partner with Field Recruiting to staff projects.
Participate in project reviews; contribute to budgets and execution plans.
Collaborate with project management to ensure proper planning for execution.
Champion Helix safety standards and ensure training is implemented.
Set QA/QC expectations; oversee NEC compliance, testing, startup and commissioning.
Provide input to monthly cost-to-complete sessions.
Mentor and coach field leaders; coordinate with Learning & Development for training modules.
Maintain communication with GCs/owners, AHJs, trade partners, and internal teams.
Provide concise reporting to VP of Field Operations and senior leadership.
