Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our Boise, ID team, supporting a major semiconductor client with focus on tool install and early budgeting. You will shape budgets and influence cost decisions from project onset.

Lead workload and QA/QC, reconcile invoices and change orders, develop client relationships, mentor estimators, and contribute to project controls and risk analyses in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• 5+ years in Electrical Cost & Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying with professional accreditation.
• On site validation of install work, including remeasurement and negotiating final installed quantities using pre-approved rates.
• Semiconductor tool install experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform workload and team management such as QA/QC, fee proposals, and task management.
• Reconcile invoices and change orders with GC, sub-contractors, and 3rd parties.
• Perform Value Analysis.
• Develop and nurture client relationships to ensure client satisfaction.
• Mentor estimating technicians, estimators and train in understanding divisions and construction technology.
• Prepare project plans.
• Provide bid analysis and post contract support.
• Participate in peer review process.
• Undertake Risk and Value management evaluations.
• Understand project controls and stakeholders’ requirements.
• Participate in industry events and demonstrate an understanding of the local market.
