Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to analyze plans and documents to generate accurate time, cost, labor, material, and equipment estimates for electrical construction projects.

The role supports bid preparation, project planning, subcontractor coordination, compliance, and smooth handoff to project and field teams. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of electrical estimating experience, a related bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Previous experience in electrical estimating.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with pricing, purchasing, negotiating, and preparing purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bids with a safety-first mindset.
• Review drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine project scope.
• Develop and manage bid strategies meeting DBE/MBE/WBE requirements.
• Prepare accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates.
• Lead project handoff meetings with project and field management.
• Coordinate utility locates and exploratory digging when required.
• Develop project schedules in coordination with site leadership.
