Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. in Washington, DC seeks an Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for electrical projects by reviewing drawings, specs, and bid documents to determine costs.

Work with project managers, vendors, clients, and contractors to ensure estimates are complete and aligned with requirements, across all project phases. This on-site, full-time position offers $70,000–$100,000, with health insurance, retirement plan, PTO, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required; higher degrees or trade certifications preferred.
• Experience in electrical estimating or related industry preferred.
• Strong reading of drawings and knowledge of codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations.
• Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare bid proposals and track status.
• Coordinate change orders and pre-construction activities.
• Support turnover meetings and cross-team collaboration.
