Job summary

A well-established local electrical contractor is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to manage estimates for local commercial and industrial projects and help win new work. This key role suits an experienced estimator who understands the local market and can work independently within an established local contractor.

Responsibilities include leading estimates, reviewing plans, takeoffs, vendor pricing, and developing bid strategies while coordinating with project management and leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical construction background.
• Ability to independently estimate projects from plans and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods.
• Experience with Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of local electrical construction and pricing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates for local commercial and industrial electrical projects.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
• Complete detailed material and labor takeoffs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop accurate and competitive project estimates.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and opportunities.
• Develop bid strategies and final proposals.
• Work closely with Project Management, Operations, and company leadership.
• Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines.
• Assist with project turnover after successful bids.
