Job summary

W3Global seeks a Senior Estimator to produce project-specific electrical construction estimates from drawings and specifications, and to supervise a small team of estimators. The role includes evaluating value-engineered options, obtaining vendor quotes, and drafting comprehensive proposals.

Key duties include attending job walks and pre-bid meetings, managing bid schedules, and maintaining estimating databases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; a BS in Engineering, Construction Management or similar is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical construction, focused on large commercial/industrial projects.
• OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E certifications are required.
• Proficiency with Code requirements and basic electrical calculations (Ohm's law, voltage drop, ampacity).
• Experience with major estimating programs such as ConEst or Accubid, and a NYS driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Produce project-specific electrical construction estimates from drawings and specs.
• Oversee staff estimators and manage training, scheduling, and evaluations.
• Analyze drawings, price value-engineered options, solicit vendor quotes, draft proposals.
• Attend job walks, pre-bid meetings, and turnover meetings while meeting bid deadlines.
• Maintain and upgrade estimating databases; uphold integrity, accountability, teamwork, and innovation.
